The Learning Federation

5 clusters of schools on the ICT Register – primary schools, secondary schools, and secondary schools working with their feeder primaries – have begun to collaborate with schools in Australia to research the impact high-quality interactive learning resources can have on learning. The resources, developed by The Learning Federation of Australia, is being used to address difficult to teach concepts, to raise standards of low-achieving students, and to encourage independent learning. The project also aims to investigate how teaching practices and learning resources in both countries differ, and how good practice can be exchanged internationally.

Also of interest is an article by Ms Susan Atkins who is the Director Online Initiatives for The Learning Federation Curriculum Corporation. The article compares trialling of educational software in the UK and in Australia, and the full text is available here.
